Koldbrann was formed by Mannevond in early 2001, with the intention of making a cold and ugly Black Metal assault, without any trendy and faggoth elements! A while later guitarist Dragev joined, and at the end of the year everything was set for a demo but Dragev chose to leave. A short while after Kvass came in as a replacement and the band startet rehearsing, without a drummer, but luckily they soon came in contact with Fordervelse who joined and took the band to a whole new level! Await the Nekrotic Inquisition!!
Sirenia plays a mixture of gothic metal and rock with classical influences, as well as black and death metal elements. Their soundscapes have solid basis in the powerful drums and bass that are arranged in a very dynamic and progressive way and supported by powerful rhythm guitars, dressed with atmospheric keyboards and spiced with melancholic violins and 12-string guitars. The different vocals brought to life are many. The band makes of growls, screams, female vocals, (3 different) clean male vocals, choirs, whispers and samples. The songs are very intense and the atmosphere changes frequently. The lyrics are based on reflections on life, death, love, hate, and mental decline in general.
Lumsk are a new and exciting band that has emerged from the musical environment in Trondheim. They combine traditional Norwegian folk music and rock/metal in their own particular style. The result is melodious and bewitching, raw, but by the same token expressive and beautiful. A whole new way of presenting a Norwegian cultural heritage. Lumsk do anything from slow folk tunes to heavy metal songs with melodious string arrangements and elements of folk music. The band´s unique sound and style of music can be explained by the diverse and very different musical backgrounds of the band members. The members are from twenty-one to thirty-five and have a history of musical versatility: folk music, pop, country, prog rock, hard rock and metal. The ensemble of seven play the drums, the bass (and male vocals), synth, the violin and two guitars. The voice of a female singer completes the ensemble.

They recorded the first and last demo called Pagan Land the same year and just after a short time spreading the demo and name around the world, we got a record deal with the cult label Head Not Found records in Norway.
In early -95 the deal was signed and the first album called NATTFERD was ready to be recorded in a studio in Sarpsborg called X-ray studios.

Norwegian metal music has taken on many shapes in the past decade, but few groups have achieved the near painful beauty of pure industrial metal like Red Harvest. It´s been ten years since the release of their first album - ten years spent on the border lines between alternative art music and metal mayhem. Expect a unforgettable show!
Audiopain
Audiopain was formed in 1996 under the name HÆ?, but only one demo were released before the band changed name to Audiopain in the beginning of 1999. During 99, the six tracks that constitutes the Contagious demo was recorded. The musical variety seen in HÆ? was still present, but to a much less degree. The Contagious demo saw the light of day in early 2000, and the band started to be more active on the live front as well.
When Opeth's original line-up began to solidify in the backwoods of Stockholm in 1990, little did Mikael Åkerfeldt (vocals/guitar), Peter Lindgren (guitar), Johan DeFarfalla (bass) and Anders Nordin (drums) know that they were about to turn the metal world upside down and counter clockwise. By 1995, these young but impressively talented musicians had managed to land themselves a record deal with England's Candlelight Records. This led to the release of Orchidthe bands debut album. The word was out. Orchid stunned critics with its diversity, daunting musicianship and epic songwriting. In sharp contrast to other releases at the time, Orchid sonically bridged the widening gap between death and black metal by enhancing each song (or movements, as the band likes to refer to them) with unexpected elements of 70's progressive rock in all its grand dynamic style. Not surprisingly, this groundbreaking approach sailed over a lot of peoples heads as the band's label struggled to present it to a confused market place.
In the year of 1990 the sign of RUNEMAGICK started to take form. The first months it only existed as a one-man project formed by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson inspired by bands like Bathory, Treblinka/Tiamat, Celtic Frost, Nihilist/Entombed, Candlemass& Some songs were recorded on an old Fostex 4-tracker machine and were only spread by tape trading. Then Robert "Reaper" Pehrsson joined as a permanent member on guitar and vocals. His vocals was more high-pitch so the material sounded quite Bathory inspired. With this 2 piece line up they recorded the first official demos during 1991-92. One demo called "Fullmoon Sodomy" was official released by the (rip off) label Chaos Productions (Swe). The band never received any copies but it got great response in the underground. The first gigs were made in 1992-93 with session members like Johan Norman (later in Dissection, Soulreaper) and Alex Losbäck (later in Cardinal Sin).
In the last 11 years, Immortal, from the Norwegian town Bergen, established themselves as one of the most important black metal bands in the world. The last original member Abbath (Doom Occulta) is one of the most charismatic frontman in this genre, as their live shows are legendary. The story of Immortal started back in 1991. Abbath (a former Old Funeral member) and Demonaz (ex-Amputation) decided to start a new band together to play cold and icy black metal. Skins, spikes and corpsepaint that was their modus operandi. Musically they were influenced by Bathory, which you can hear on their first demo and the debut album Diabolic Fullmoon Mysticism (1992, Osmose Productions). This and the influence of Venom and Slayer was no secret to the fans.
