"chinafuss" was a cool, chilled affair with some nice shining pads and fx‘ed up random beats. The first thing that strikes you about this sound is indeed is uniqueness, the variation in sound gives it some real original qualities that are rare these days. The extra lead sounds that drop in over the top of the main melody do at first seem a little overpowering, but in retrospect it kind of underlines the music aspect of the song as a whole. Reminded me of my icy nights in when I visited lillestom. A nice bit of work, we gave it an 8/10.
"Astmatiker" Nice rhythm pattern, nice array of effects used and quality production. One of the things I liked the most was that massive square-wave b-line that I just know would rock any sub till your balls become paralyzed! Something you might hear in a Japanese experimental music club, and a nice breath of fresh Nordic air. Originality seems to be this mans partner, and with continued experimentation and expandability I am sure we are going to hear this stuff playing on late-night radio very soon. Clever arpeggios, sappy clear beat, cool smoky groove the list goes on. 8/10
Doh! so we only had time to review two tracks, but the man certainly deserves to be a resonance winner this month. Incurable heart definitely shows the diversity of sound and the raw talent heralding fresh from Scandinavia, and I can see incurable being up there with the likes of royksopp in the near future. Keep listening everyone, soon there will be a car advert with this mans music on it, and you can all say..thats incurable heart that is!
