The Saga of The Nude Pube Banglers
Norway, reknown for it’s oil, it’s Kon-Tiki expeditions and it’s mountains. All classic notions of the true Norwegian spirit, brought to you in fancy tourist brochures, alongside fjords and people dressed in traditional costumes. But soon, another star will rise on the northern horizon, a blazing star of hard rock and aggressive beat, namely that of the Nude Pube Banglers. Never heard of them? Ouch! some secrets are pretty well hidden, I guess, and it sometimes takes a little effort to discover the real heroes of the Norwegian music scene.
Well, because rock’n’roll is what the Nude Pube Banglers (NPB) is all about. Rock’n’roll, attitude, catchy riffs, sweat, testosterone and alcohol, with equal emphasize on all five components. Concieved back in 2000 in the remote truck stop town of Steinkjer, the guys of the NPB soon rose to be known as one of the greatest punk rock’n’roll acts of Oslo. Their style is a combination of blues, punk, hardcore and classic rock’n’roll. With musical references to, The Dead Boys, Poison Idea, Turbonegro and The Bronx, you can’t go wrong with the Nude Pube Banglers. But hey! Don’t take my word for it, ask all the people who has witnessed them live; they have all gotten their lives changed in a very, very profound way, that’s for sure. You won’t go back listening to Nu-metal if you’ve experienced the NPB on stage!
So, if you still find yourself among the dwindling minority which has yet to discover the thunderous Norwegians, get off your ass, drive to your nearest record dealer and get a hold of their new EP! It might save your life!
