Deadend Rackets, formerly known as Discord, were founded the summer of '03. Endre Askeland on guitar/vocal, Remi Arefjord on bass/backing vocal, Espen Strømme on Drums, and Thomas Olsen lead guitars/vocal. We joined a local competition and reached as far as the semi-final, at the time only playing cover songs. Discord soon found out that they worked well together, and started writing their own material. The music style is compareable to bands such as Gluecifer. For those of you who've never heard Gluecifer, this is straight-to-the bone Rock with influences from both metal and punk.
The band played only a few ammount of gigs, but were getting great feedback. In the summer of 2005 the band started to write material for an album, and started to play more concerts troughout the year. After alot of delaying, recordings finally started just before summer 2006, and are now finished. The result is a new EP, including 4 songs. The band recently changed name from Discord to Deadend Rackets, and the album will therefore be released under that name.
