Miksha news!

01.01.2009 Happy New Year? Oh, yes it is!

2009 is the new loud people! Last year was more of a behind the scenes year for Miksha, lots of organizing, relocating and other not so exciting stuff has been going on. The result of all this is, on the other hand, VERY exciting, good times ahead oh yes oh yes! So to organize all this info we have sorted it all into different posts, so keep reading! Have a happy new year folks, lets mosh 2009 to pieces!

Cheers the Mikshas!

01.01.2009 Miksha signs to Morningstar Records!

We’re very excited to announce that we have signed a deal with Morningstar records. We have known these guys for quite some time and are really looking forwards to working with them. This means that our new album will be released by Morningstar and distributed by Tuba here in Norway and Plastichead internationally.

01.01.2009 Presenting; The Vulture Conspiracy!

The Vulture Conspiracy is the title of our new record, and it will hit stores in Norway early March through Morningstar. The international release will be set about a month later, more news on that will be posted soon. The Vulture Conspiracy is a 10 track monster that will grab your neck and throw your whole body around for 40 minutes straight! Ever wondered how it feels like to be road kill on the audio highway? No worries, soon you’ll know!! MOHAHHA, all cheese aside, The Vulture Conspiracy is Miksha’s blend of electronics and brutal metal taken even further, and in a more organic direction. There’s heavy riffs, there’s insane drums and beats, wicked melodies and lots of surprises (male choir anyone?) around corners you didn’t know you were passing! We’re really happy with the record and can’t wait to get it out there! BOO-YAAA BABY!!

01.01.2009 Release gigs and Norwegian Tour!

Our booking agency Storaas Artist is hard at work booking gigs for Miksha in 2009, and we’re already seeing the results. First of all we will have two release concerts to celebrate the release of The Vulture Conspiracy. The first one will be at Garage, Oslo the 12th of March, and the second one at Blæst, Trondheim the 13th of March. We promise great special guest on these two so make sure set the day of if you are in the area!  The gig in Oslo will be the kick off for the Norwegian leg of “The Vultour Conspiracy” that will go on throughout March and a couple of weeks into April. We will most likely be coming to a town near you so keep checking in as we will continue to post dates in the following months. Oh sweetness LIVE GIGS YEZZ!

01.01.2009 Miksha supports the mighty NAPALM DEATH!!

Miksha has been chosen to support none other than NAPALM DEATH (capital letters is the only way to go here)!! This is a really cool gig for us and we can’t wait for this night of pure br00tality! So if you are in Trondheim the 25th of February you have a chance to catch lots of our new songs live just before the record is released, and oh.. NAPALM FUCKING DEATH! Tickets will sell out fast so hurry over to www.Blaest.no and get one now!!
