25th Nordic Sound Symposium
Summing up:
The 25th Nordic sound Symposium was arranged at Sarpsborg Quality Hotel Thursday 22nd Sept. to Sunday 25th of September.
The event was again a success. Morten Lindberg is speaking to an interested audience.
Excellent speakers made this a great happening.
The sound producer Per Hallberg, two times Oscar winner for “Braveheart” and “Jason Bournes ultimatum”, was one of the highlights this year. He is flanked by Florian Camerer and Billy Henningsen.
Several presentations were focused on Loudness this year; maybe there is a solution on this most annoying problem in the near future as EBU has announced a new standard.
The sound examples that was presented during the Symposium from all the speakers were staggering!! Even surround with heigth (9.1) was presented.
The symposium had choosen Sarpsborg Quality Hotel as venue for the event this year. Bolkesjø Hotel, our usual venue has sadly enough closed down. The surroundings is of cource not as beautiful as at Bolkesjø but the new premises fulfilled the Symposiums demands, both regarding service, food and lecture hall.
We felt that the special social atmosphere at the Symposium was well alive.
We hope all attendees and presenters will appear next time the event is arranged in September 2013.
